I should probably start with what I'm not—I'm not your typical consultant or advisor. I don't optimize existing systems just to make them more efficient at doing the wrong things. I look for intervention points where small changes create cascading improvements and for fundamental redesigns when the system itself is the problem.

My background spans cognitive science, mathematics, economics, and several other fields most people consider separate domains. I don't respect those boundaries. Nature doesn't organize itself into academic departments, and neither do real problems.

You'll find I'm direct—sometimes uncomfortably so. That's not because I don't value your expertise or perspective. Quite the opposite. I respect you enough not to waste your time with diplomatic cushioning when clarity serves us better. I assume the same in return.

I get excited about possibilities—you'll know when that happens because I'll start connecting ideas rapidly and occasionally laugh at connections only I can see initially. Don't worry, I'll bring you along for the ride.

I believe in collective intelligence. None of us alone has the perspective to solve complex problems, but together we might—if we're willing to challenge assumptions and cross boundaries others consider fixed.

I'm here because I see something worth building with this group. I don't collaborate lightly or often. I think we have the right combination of skills, perspectives, and, frankly, the necessary dissatisfaction with the status quo to create something genuinely transformative.
